2016

Here are some who were successful in receiving the Ras yr Iaith 2016 grant.

Gwydion ap Wynn, Y Dref Werdd Project Manager:

“Receiving the financial grant from Ras yr Iaith was a great help to Y Dref Werdd as we organised our community event, Bwrlwm Bro in 2017. The money went towards creating a very successful day for the residents of Bro Ffestiniog, promoting the Welsh language and the work of our project and other organisations. Applying for the funding was very easy and I would encourage any other enterprise to apply and to promote the language. ”

Dylan Lewis, Head of the Welsh Department at Ysgol Uwchradd Dyffryn Aman school:

“Pupils at the school were delighted to take part in the Ammanford Stage of Ras yr Iaith and to be part of a Welsh language event that was so visible to everyone in the area. Last year we held AMANWYL, a day of fun Welsh activities for year nine pupils. The money ensured that we were able to invite Mari Mathias to perform, and Marc Griffiths to commentate in Welsh during the day, facilitating the arrangements and ensuring that the Welsh language was prominent and audible. Applying for the grant was easy. We found the form on the website, noted on it our plans for promoting the Welsh language, and returned it by the closing date. Within a few weeks, we received the good news by email that we were receiving £ 400! Amazing. ”
